About the Artist
Meet Debbie Witt
Art has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. From drawing as a child to exploring watercolor, oils, acrylics, pastels, and scratch art, creating has always been one of my greatest joys. After many years devoted to family, teaching, and other creative pursuits, I returned to fine art with a renewed passion. Today, I continue to learn, explore new mediums, and thank God for the gift of creating beauty to share with others.
My Inspiration
My artwork is inspired by God's creation, the beauty of nature, cherished memories, and the emotions that connect us all. Whether I'm painting a peaceful landscape, a beloved animal, a floral scene, or a portrait, my hope is to create artwork that brings peace, joy, comfort, and love to those who experience it.
MyJourney
Although largely self-taught, my artistic journey has opened many unexpected doors. Over the years, I've created commissioned artwork, exhibited in galleries, designed commercial artwork, and became a Signature Artist for Coca-Cola. My work has also appeared as nationwide limited-edition prints. After a long break from fine art, I have joyfully returned to painting and continue to embrace new techniques and mediums with enthusiasm.
A Personal Note
My faith is the foundation of both my life and my art. Joshua 1:9 has long been my guiding verse, reminding me to be strong and courageous in every season. I believe every painting tells a story, and I hope each one leaves the viewer with a sense of beauty, hope, and peace.

Acrylic
Acrylics give me the freedom to work with bold color, texture, and detail. Their versatility allows me to create a wide variety of subjects while exploring different techniques and styles.
Watercolor
Watercolor will always have a special place in my heart. I fell in love with its beautiful flow, luminous colors, and expressive nature. It was the medium that launched my professional art journey, and I still enjoy watching each painting come to life in ways that often surprise me.
ART MEDIUMS
One of the things I love most about being an artist is that I'm never limited to a single medium. Each one has its own personality, and I enjoy choosing the one that best brings an idea to life. I'm always learning, experimenting, and embracing new creative challenges.
Pastel
Pastels have become one of my favorite discoveries. I enjoy their softness, vibrant color, and the beautiful textures they create. They allow me to capture light and emotion in a unique way.
Oil
Oil painting is where my artistic journey began. Although I stepped away from it for many years, returning to oils has felt like reconnecting with an old friend. I love the richness, depth, and timeless quality that this medium offers.
Scratch Art
I'm always excited to learn something new, and scratch art has become my newest creative adventure. I enjoy the patience and precision it requires, along with the striking contrast and detail that emerge with every stroke.
Always Creating
Whether I'm painting landscapes, flowers, wildlife, portraits, or faith-inspired scenes, my goal is always the same—to create artwork that brings peace, joy, comfort, and beauty into someone's life. I don't believe an artist should ever stop learning, and I look forward to discovering new mediums and new ways to share the gifts God has given me.
